Sam Smith has always been vocal about his identity as a gay man, as well as his struggles with weight. Perhaps that has shaped the slimmed-down singer's views on name-calling.

"If someone called me fat, that affects me way more than someone calling me a f-----," Smith said in an interview with Australia's 60 Minutes.
