I don't mean to offend any sports "jocks" but participating in professional sports, and even worse watching these time wasters, is that last thing I would consider masculine.
Funny thing though, here we have NFL linebacker from the New Orleans Saints tweeting the following: "Men should not hav (sic) female tendencies. Period."
Oh really? Pot meet kettle. What he means by that, one can only try to understand the meaning of this unintelligent babble, but it appears to me that this linebacker is trying to insult "effeminate" men who are not like him. The problem is that he actually contributes to the castration of the American male.
Real men are out there saving lives, working hard for their community, teaching others, fighting corruption, standing up for what is right and just, and protecting humanity from charlatans like this muppet of a linebacker. Real men, masculine men, are not prancing around chasing after balls in a field while having other males look at this event in a daze like a bunch of drones, having panic attacks, yelling and screaming like a bunch of mental patients high on crack. Real men are not putting life aside every Monday night to watch muppets like this stupid linebacker play with balls on the television screen and have outbursts and jump around like a bunch of little kids. Once I read a study that men who watch sporting events and get into it have elevated estrogen levels (hence their emotional investment in something that is not even real in their own lives). No, real men are better than that. Real masculine men take life by the horns and actually "tackle" real life issues that affect our country.
While patsies like this linebacker are playing ball like children, the adults are sitting around the living room at 2 o'clock in the morning making decisions on our lives. Decisions that can and will impact our futures. Real masculine adult men think about these issues and act, not idolize people who they never met like Tim Tebow.
Sure one can appreciate the game, and there is nothing with playing it as a workout as I play soccer myself. But there is difference when you actually enjoy a healthy workout by playing a game and having the game play you.
And no, being "athletic" is not sign of masculinity. Face it. Its not. In fact that word "athletic" actually means "athenic" or someone or something from Athens, Greece, which in its ancient history glorified "athleticism" (hence the term) and the male body in a very homoerotic way, to the point that homosexuality was widely practiced among these men. Kinda puts that stupid tweet in perspective doesn't it? To my point, athleticism doesn't impress me, I mean look at the animal kingdom for example. A rhino is so strong it can actually run over a bus. Now does that mean that the rhino must be somehow superior and I must now idolize it like some moron? Of course not.
Well, these thoughts came to me when I saw that stupid tweet. Just further proves to me that people that participate in this gladiator event just have no brains of their own.
