Nikki Dismuke-Johnson and Deasia Johnson yesterday became the first same-sex couple to be married in Guam, in a civil ceremony performed by the island's Public Health director.
A federal court ruling last Friday struck down Guam's prohibition on same-sex marriages, and yesterday morning was the first opportunity for same-sex couples to file marriage applications at the Department of Public Health and Social Services.
