Scotland has been rated the best country in Europe in terms of LGBT and intersex legal equality, according to a new ranking, released Sunday.
The country topped human rights organisation ILGA-Europe's Rainbow index, which considers a range of 48 factors including employment equality, measures to tackle hate crime, legal gender recognition and parenting rights.
