With a Supreme Court decision on gay marriage expected in about a month, equality advocates might be concerned about the news out today: A much-cited study suggesting that opinions on marriage equality shifted favorably after just a 20-minute conversation with a gay canvasser was just retracted by one of its authors. Those opposing gay and lesbian unions will surely use this information to push back against what’s increasingly seen as the inevitability of marriage equality.
