n mid-November 2014, the entire Board of Directors of the IGLTA Foundation was dismissed. In an article published on April 8 in the South Florida Gay News (SFGN), several Board members and IGLTA staff were asked about the matter, but none provided any useful information.

The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association created the Foundation in 2011 in order to facilitate various travel-related international outreach and educational programs, and to finance these activities through in-house fundraising efforts and third-party charitable donations. To date, the bulk of funding has come from the Kevin J Mossier Foundation, established upon the death of the RSVP Vacations founder.
