SURVEY: Chinese women who marry gay men report domestic violence, abuse...

Chinese women married to gay men often end up being abused and physically tortured by their husbands. This came out in the first survey into the lives of gay spouses entitled, 'Social Adaptation of Women who Marry Gay Men'.

More than 90% of the women surveyed reported they had suffered domestic violence, including emotional abuse and physical aggression. Some had suffered serious injuries, according to researchers led by Tang Kuiyu, a professor from the College of Humanities at Harbin Institute of Technology.
