Uganda introduced a bill in 2009 that is still under consideration that would provide harsher punishment for homosexuality including execution. On December 20, 2013 the Parliament passed the bill allowing for life in prison, banning gay 'propaganda,' and punishment for people who fail to report gays to the police.
