Tell NIKE Inc That Executing Gays is Wrong

Usually The Gay Report does not engage in many social or political campaigns since our main objective has always been to provide you the reader with the news and information in order for you to make up your mind on certain things.

But there comes a time here and there that certain events require us to do things that are above and beyond of what is expected of us, especially when certain things are so unbearable and have crossed the line of decency and human dignity.

We therefore encourage our readers and people within the community at large to take action against world famous boxer Manny Pacquiao who has stated today that gays should be executed by quoting scripture justifying such an evil act:

"If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

No gay person should be executed for being gay and we ask his main sponsor NIKE Inc. to take note and to denounce such degrading hate speech. We also call on NIKE Inc, to sever ties and sponsorship of Mr. Pacquiao whose character is completely out of line with the corporate policy of NIKE Inc.

The Gay Report staff have all agreed that this is beyond the pale and should not go unnoticed as Mr. Pacquiao is a world famous athlete with high regards by so many that his words might land on vulnerable ears of young gay teens who are struggling with their sexual orientation many of whom have gone to the extreme of committing suicide for this type of homophobic and vitriolic, spiritual and emotional bullying.
