Advocate's Profiling of Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg is Disturbing

The Advocate has written a column releasing the new pictures of Daniel Radcliffe playing the role of gay beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the film 'Kill Your Darlings.' The Advocate hails Radcliffe's new gay role as very significant:

"Radcliffe, a longtime advocate for equality who has recorded several PSAs on behalf of the suicide prevention group, the Trevor Project, will play his first gay character in the film."

Ever since I heard that Radcliffe was going to do this part I tried to look the other way. But the Advocate has now made a public pronouncement, in essence, of this character as a positive move for the gay community as they hail it as Radcliffe's first gay character.

The problem here lies with the fact of who Allen Ginsberg was and how much damage he has caused to the gay community in his association with and defense of the pedophile group "North American Man/Boy Love Association" (NAMBLA), which advocates for the eradication of age of consent laws and for the ability of men to have sex with and rape little boys. We have for decades maintained that homosexuality has no correlation whatsoever with pedophilia, and that pedophilia rightfully involves the abuse of children. But as we have seen in the past and even as late as a few days ago, many foes of the gay community continue to make the pedophilia correlation a part of their argument. All they have to do is do some simple research and find out how many  supposed "LGBT activists" in the past made the odious mistake of defending NAMBLA or even being a member of such evil organization, including Harry Hay, David Thorstad (founder of NAMBLA) among others. In the beginning NAMBLA has stated that it was part of the gay community, causing a huge smear campaign being lodged against us to the point that even the United Nations barred international gay rights groups because of their apparent association with NAMBLA. Needless to say that all major gay rights groups, national and international, condemn NAMBLA for what they stand for and the damage they have done to the gay community.

The Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has stated the following about NAMBLA:

"[GLAAD] deplores the North American Man Boy Love Association's (NAMBLA) goals, which include advocacy for sex between adult men and boys and the removal of legal protections for children. These goals constitute a form of child abuse and are repugnant to GLAAD."

 Daniel Radcliffe prides himself in playing a gay man who has defended the abuse of children, and for him and the Advocate to assume that this is somehow a positive is really disturbing to me. Ginsberg has attended several NAMBLA conventions and has defended what they do several times. He has been quoted as saying:

"Attacks on NAMBLA stink of politics, witchhunting for profit, humorlessness, vanity, anger and ignorance ... I'm a member of NAMBLA because I love boys too -- everybody does, who has a little humanity."

I do not know exactly what he meant by "I love boys -- everybody does" remark. Did he meant that we are latent pedophiles? All I know is that NAMBLA members have been caught with kiddie porn and have been arrested for molesting boys as young as 3. So no, molesting boys and raping them is not a form of love we have for our youth. In this day and age many LGBT youth are facing serious hardship and we must do all that we can to protect them from harm, may that be bullying or sexual abuse.

But I think Ginsberg knew what he was talking about as he has even written poetry about raping a boy's ass and making him give oral sex at a NAMBLA convention. Clearly, Ginsberg was indeed in favor of child rape and abuse. And to see a reputable gay news magazine portray him as anything other than a monster who should be shamed out of the memory of our community is very disturbing.
