When bill favors gays 'its not the right time,' when it disfavor gays it is

Yesterday the governor of Washington came out for gay marriage and has introduced a bill that would legalize it. Even though 55% of state residents would support the law, the opposers are at it again. This time, like many times, the argument is made that "it isn't the right time" - meaning that we should concentrate on fixing the economy. For one, these clowns do not care about fixing the economy, but only about giving the super rich banks and hedge fund managers their bailout bonuses for risks they should have never been taking, in reality these fools had more than 10 years to fix and prevent the economic depression that we are in; all this is mere posturing pretending that they are in fact concerned about the economy when they are not. Last I heard the political class of the homophobic establishment of both parties have passed more than 40,000 new laws last year with some analysts saying that only 3% of those laws actually addressing the economy, while most of the laws are either more restrictions or more meaningless spending. So forget this "lets focus on the economy" smokescreen, its all bull. They have never tried to fix the economy, and most likely they never will.

Secondly, these creeps keep saying the same thing: "its not the right time" whenever these "divisive issues" are brought up. Well excuse me. You are an elected official, your job IS to take up divisive issues and find solutions. But if you notice they only say this meme whenever said bill or law is going to benefit gays but never regurgitated when THEY introduce legislation to undermine gays. Where were these political hacks barking the inappropriateness of "distracting" the legislature with some thing other than the economy? Nowhere, because they themselves are now the ones that are now introducing these "divisive issues" and have a special right to do so while you and I do not. These issues include ripping away partner benefits... oh yes! Totally an appropriate time. Or how about legalizing bullying against gay students under the pretense of religious freedom? Oh yes, totally the right timing in this economic depression. Oh yes, lets not forget that repealing gay marriage is also totally the right and appropriate thing to do at this time.

This is nothing but distorting reality for their own bible belt sheep. Point blank, this is not about using the lawmaker's time wisely and focusing on the economy, that is the last thing they want. This is about taking away rights for the mere fact of hating gays. Plain and simple.
