As predicted, GOP's anti-LGBT rhetoric gets more extreme and violent

As I have noted before in a previous post, the right wing and the GOP are going to lose ground over lgbt issues as more Americans begin to see the light and side with us leaving behind a rogue bunch of extremists who will get louder and more violent. This is a prediction that is sadly now unfolding.

Well we barely started the new year and now we have ourselves a Tennessee Republican lawmaker who is introducing a bill that will outlaw transgenders from using the bathrooms of the sex they identify with. In a recent interview the lawmaker, by the name of Richard Floyd, has lost support for the bill so he gets desperate and actually uses violent and threatening language saying that he will violently attack transgender people:
FLOYD: I believe if I was standing at a dressing room and my wife or one of my daughters was in the dressing room and a man tried to go in there — I don’t care if he thinks he’s a woman and tries on clothes with them in there — I’d just try to stomp a mudhole in him and then stomp him dry.
Don’t ask me to adjust to their perverted way of thinking and put my family at risk. We cannot continue to let these people dominate how society acts and reacts. Now if somebody thinks he’s a woman and he’s a man and wants to try on women’s clothes, let him take them into the men’s bathroom or dressing room.
Clearly this man poses a serious threat to the transgender community of Tennessee, and trans people need to be aware of this man as he has stated that he will attack and use physical violence. If you see this man be cautious and avoid him, especially near the restrooms. Who knows how violent he would get or if he decides to use a weapon as well and to seriously injure someone. Also some women who might be mistaken as a transgender (who have masculine features) need to also be aware and alert.

The violent rhetoric of the GOP is going to get even more louder and extreme to the point that I would not be surprised that some members of the LGBT community would be physically attacked or killed by GOP operatives. It is important to understand that we cannot let down our guard nor be complacent to these threats, these threats are serious in light of the fact that hate crimes against LGBTs are on the rise.

The right wing is nothing but a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.
