Because there is a student organization for just about everything, there are also many for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students. Many schools have a local LGBT student organization, but there are also many national ones that have tons to offer from scholarships for the community to those with specific political affiliations. If you don't believe us, check out the below organizations that have tons of members:

1. The Point Foundation - They offer financial support, mentoring, leadership training, and more to students who are marginalized as a result of their sexual orientation. Check out how you or someone you know can becomes a Point Scholar by visiting their site.

2. Campus Pride - This national organization strives to make campuses safer for the LGBT student community. There are many ways they can help students be involved, be informed. and even be a leader. They also have loads of tips for maintaining you own college's LGBT group.

3. Gay-Straight Alliance - Proving that you don't have to be gay to join a gay organization is the GSA. They help empower all youth activists to fight homophobia in schools. They have loads of chapters all across the nation and even tips for your own organization.

4. GLSEN - The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network also fits in with the above. They conduct research on the topic, as well as have tool and tips for students, educators, and supporters. Be sure and check out their blog with more.
